It's New Year's Eve and what should be a snowy winter's day has turned into a blistering heatwave. Temperatures are off the charts, and so are tempers. Newscasts report of violence throughout the city in unprecedented numbers. Jonelle, nine months pregnant, takes refuge from the heat in her tiny apartment. But with a secretive husband hiding a private life from her, home may be even more dangerous than the city streets. When Jonelle discovers her husband has been cheating on her, their argument erupts into an act of cold blooded murder.
