Synopsis: 
Relive the original terror and suspense in this classic 24-hour nightmare of blood. Camp Crystal Lake has been closed for over 20 years due to some vicious and unsolved murders. The camp's new owner and several young counselors are readying the camp for re-opening despite warnings of a "death curse" by local residents. The curse proves true on Friday the 13 th as one by one each of the counselors is stalked by a violent killer.

Like William Girdler, Oliver Hellman or even Ed Wood, Sean S. Cunningham had a successful career of starting films cheap and fast. Originally from New York, Cunningham had a vast knowledge of directing films and came to Hollywood. He started about the same time Wes Craven did. Cunningham meets Craven and decided to make a comedy-romance film called Together (1971). Then they both shocked the world with the rape and ultra-violence of The Last House on the Left (1972).
