A native Angelino, Dan “Laz” Lazarovits, has been working in the film industry since graduating from film school at Cal State Northridge in 1999. As a First Assistant Director, Laz has worked on horror films such as Insidious 3 and Insidious 4, and the television series American Horror Story - Apocalypse. In recent years Laz has had the opportunity to pursue his dream of co-writing, producing and directing his own short film, Nagual: The Sin Eater. Laz still lives in Los Angeles, tirelessly searching for interesting and dynamic ways to continue storytelling.

Zach is an award-winning director, editor, and frequent tree climber. He’s directed shorts including Why the Sea is Boiling, which played at film festivals internationally; plays including the musical comedy More Guns!, which ran at Second City for two years; and music videos for artists like Jason Mraz's opener Philip Labes and emerging queer rockstar Maddie Ross. He’s edited a little bit of everything, from FX-and-Sundance-darling Quarter Life Poetry, to a concert film for Paul McCartney, to promos and branded content for Live Nation, Buzzfeed, Adidas, Gatorade, Snapchat, and many more. Jason Ragosta was born in Connecticut. He attended the Maryland Institute, College of Art and started working in stop motion animation at Wreckless Abandon Studios as a storyboard/concept artist and assistant cameraman, before moving to the West coast to work in film. Jason then went on to manage a sound stage at the Academy of Art, University in San Francisco for actress, Diane Baker (Marnie, Silence of the Lambs) before working for a year as a Production Assistant in the editorial production office on the Disney film John Carter, directed by Andrew Stanton. From there, Jason spent a decade working in animation, independent films, commercials, and music videos, before completing his first independent short film, BOY IN THE DARK, followed by ZTV: SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL. He is currently working as the Editorial Manager at Halon Entertainment (www.halon.com) and completing post-production on his short film Mother Love which is part of SINPHONY: A Clubhouse Horror Anthology.

Daniel is an Irish-speaking writer and director from the Donegal Gaeltacht who has won multiple awards for his films in both Irish and English including the Lumi Award at last year’s Belfast Film Festival and ‘Best New Director’ at the Kinsale Shark Awards 2019 for his music videos for Irish language rappers KNEECAP.

Most recently he was nominated ‘Best Director’ at the Richard Harris International FF for the supernatural drama Afterlife and was winner the Comórtas Físín Irish-language pitching competition with his upcoming short film Fágtha. He was selected for this year’s Screen Talent Europe Pitching Forum in association with the Galway Film Centre.

I've been making movies since high school. When my friends and I took over the morning announcements, we saw an opportunity to make short films for a captive audience...and by that, I mean an audience that literally HAD to watch; the entire school was held hostage by our silliness. Out of necessity, I learned the basics of filmmaking: acting, writing, directing, editing, visual effects, scoring...you name it; I was the Robert Rodriguez of morning announcements.

All of these skills came in handy when I attended the University of Miami's film school. After making the leap to Los Angeles, I've continued to hone my craft by working in the editing room for studio films like "Hot Tub Time Machine" and "The Muppets", on the sets of films like "The Hangover Part III" and as a Producer for ESPN. All the while, I continue to write, direct and edit my own films.

With "user_" I wanted to make a modern version of "When a Stranger Calls" using the devices with which we interact daily. We made it for no money and using only mobile phones; a nice change of pace from the usual complicated and busy sets. The final result speaks for itself as a fun, creepy little movie.

Jacob and Brittany are a brother and sister directing duo. They were born and raised in Southern California and recently graduated from Biola University's School of Cinema and Media Arts with their BA in film production. At a young age Jacob would be driven to a career in filmmaking after watching the special features from the Lord of the Rings. Later on, Brittany would also join in on making film a career after visiting the Universal Studios backlot. As recent college grads, they are excited for this new chapter in their careers and are looking forward to collaborating on many more projects in the future.

Travaé Davis is an old soul who enjoys to read, sit in parks, play chess, and collect pithy quotes. He is a lover of philosophy, conspiracy theories, allegories, and darker stories. Obsessed with character misery, Travaé believes uncanny often shrouded emotions contain a substantive amount of romance, candidness, and authenticity. Magical realism and death always find a way into his stories. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Film Production at the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts.
