Alejandro Hidalgo graduated from Santa María University in 2008 and has produced and directed three short films: The Birthday of a Beggar (2006), Beautiful Light (2007) and The Miracle on Darkness (2009). The House at the End of Time (2013) is not only his debut feature film but also the first Venezuelan film of Suspense and Terror. The highest grossing Venezuelan theatrical release of 2013 now selected by Frontiers and Blood Windows as the must see Latin America genre film of 2014.
One of the horror genre's best-known and most celebrated directors, Wes Craven was widely credited with reinventing the teen horror movie. Initially gaining fame and notoriety for his Nightmare on Elm Street series in the 1980s, Craven enjoyed a second wave of popularity in the 1990s with his phenomenally successful Scream series, which spoofed the teen horror genre even as they revived it. The films kicked off a trend in teen horror films, inspiring any number of imitators that, for the most part, failed to live up to Craven's own work.
When horror was made by people who loved horror. Romero teamed up with author Stephen King for the film Creepshow (1982), which was inspired by the horror comics of the 1950s. It did well at the box office and produced a sequel, Creepshow 2 (1987). Romero also has participated in the remakes of some of his classic works. He was an executive producer on the 2010 version of The Crazies starring Timothy Olyphant. Romero also served as an executive producer on the 2012 documentary Into the Dark: Exploring the Horror Film. Romero has contributed to several video games, including Call of Duty: Black Ops. Legendary filmmaker George A. Romero was born on February 4, 1940, in the Bronx, New York. He started out making commercials and short films before moving on to feature films. His iconic movies, including Night of the Living Dead and Day of the Dead, he combines horror with social commentary and satire. This film features Sherman Howard in an early appearance as Bub, and make-up artist Gregory Nicotero playing Private Johnson and assisting Tom Savini with the make-up effects. The Godfather of Gore departed this world on July of this year.
Edward started his career as an actor, graduating from the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts. He went on to obtain a degree in English from Sydney University and a Master of Media Arts and Production from the University of Technology, Sydney. His first short film, 'Can I Call You', premiered at the Academy Award ® Qualifying Chicago International Film Festival and was sold for distribution to ‘Fangoria’ magazine. He went on to write and direct the short films ‘Delusion’ (2012), ‘Thylacoleo’ (2013) and ‘Puncture’ (2013). At this time the Australian Writers’ Guild honoured him with an AWGIE nomination for his short screenplay ‘Drive-By’. Scott O'Hara was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where he was introduced to filmmaking at a very young age. Shooting movies on his parent's 8mm camera, Scott developed a love for classic monster films and creature features, which broadened his understanding of what was possible in the world of cinema. In 2006 Scott received his B.A. in Political Science from St. Mary's College of California, which of course, he did not use.
Tom Holland is an American director, screenwriter and actor. He is best known for directing and writing horror genre movies like Psycho II (1983), Fright Night (1985), Child's Play (1988), and Thinner (1996).
