Honored with many awards for his films and achievement in the horror genre, Tobe Hooper is truly one of the Masters of Horror. On The Funhouse (1981)] "Well, it wasn't the film I expected to be doing. I actually thought I'd come off of "Salem's" and do something like Eyes of Laura Mars (1978). But this was available and they really wanted me to do it. The writer, Larry Block, talked me into it over the course of 48 hours. It wasn't the film I expected. It surprised me, so my approach to it was probably lighter, less stressful." Tobe Hooper died on August 26, 2017, in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles and will be missed greatly.
JULIEN MAURY and ALEXANDRE BUSTILLO (Co-Directors) are French filmmakers who have worked together on their projects since 2006. They share a lifelong passion for the genres of fantasy, science fiction, horror and terror and list their cinematic influences as Dario Argento, Roman Polanski, Clive Barker and John Carpenter.
David Cronenberg is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, and actor who began making horror films in the 1970s, acquiring a cult following with films such as Scanners (1981) and Videodrome (1982). He found a wider horror-film audience with The Dead Zone (1983), The Fly (1986), and Dead Ringers (1988). His later films include Naked Lunch (1991), Crash (1996), and Eastern Promises (2007).
C. A. Wallace (first name Cosmo, if you’re curious), used an insatiable passion for universal and transformative storytelling to take him from an art department runner to an award-winning writer and director. A recent Nicholls Fellowship Quarter-Finalist, Wallace has written six feature scripts and made 'nsfw' as a 'proof of concept' for his recent features script 'Cortex'. A true believer that art can work hand-in-hand with commerce, he has simultaneously directed more than 150 commercials over four continents for clients as diverse as Samsung, Adidas and Vauxhall (GMC), winning multiple Gold Awards for his work in advertising. Nathan Keene studied at Curtin University in Perth, Australia completing a Bachelor of Arts in Film and TV, with Honours in Screen Arts, in 2004. Since then he has written, directed and produced several multi-award-winning short films and a feature documentary. In 2009, Nathan directed Disarm, which won the 2010 Mardi Gras Film Festival’s My Queer Career award and went on to tour over 25 film festivals globally. After this success, Nathan created Story One with business partner Will Faulkner with the mission to connect, teach and change the world through sharing stories. Nathan relocated to Sydney in 2012 where he works as a Drama and English teacher. Little Boy Blue is Story One's most ambitious work yet.
John Fitzpatrick is an award winning independent film director and professional editor best known among horror fans as the writer/director of Skypemare (2013) and the Scary Endings (2015) series. He holds bachelor's degrees in Media Arts and English Literature and began his film making career at a young age. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, John has edited numerous TV shows, music videos and promotional material for Warner Brothers, NBC, TBS, Bravo, MTV and DC Comics. John has directed over 20 shorts with numerous accolades and festival screenings and an award-winning feature film, Mercy (2003). Jo Lewis is a filmmaker who adores spine chillers and comedy horror. Her recent short film Whisper has screened at Grimm Fest (UK) Monster Fest (Australia), Another Hole in the Head San Francesco USA, Legless Corpse Film Festival Alabama USA, Post Mortem (Mexico) and the Midwest Horror Shorts Film Festival OK USA (nominated Best Director). She produced the dark chocolate comedy Viking, which screened at Edmonton Midnight Shorts and Dead by Dawn. She is teaming up with the Dark Queen Kate Shenton in the near future to producer her next feature Bloody Burrito. Whisper is a spine chiller with a foot firmly in the MR James camp. A Chicago native and USC Film School alumni, Steve loves high concept stories that can be told in an economically feasible way. His screenplay "On Your Doorstep" was voted for inclusion on the 2013 Hit List and Blood List and sold to Treehouse Pictures in a co-financing deal with Lost City. His recent screenplay, "Twisted Avenue," made last year's Hit List and has Steve attached to direct. The project is currently being shopped alongside his short film "Monsters" which he made as a proof of concept. Steve has also worked on film and TV projects with Davis Entertainment, Imagine Entertainment, and Gran Via Productions. He is represented by APA and the Gotham Group.
Yiyi Yin is an art explorer from China. Her painting won the first prize of "The 4th National Students Fine arts and Calligraphy Competition” in China. After she got her bachelor degree in Economics in Nankai University and her first master degree in TV Management in Drexel University, Yiyi entered the Florida State University MFA program in Film Production, where she continues to develop her love of art, and excitedly explore our humanity and lives.
