About the Director

Jen & Sylvia Soska (Directors) Canadian identical twin sister writing and directing duo, Jen and Sylvia Soska, known as the "Twisted Twins", first broke onto the scene with their DIY love letter to Grindhouse filmmaking, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. The film quickly grew into an award winning, critically acclaimed, cult classic sensation, even getting the attention of director Eli Roth (HOSTEL) who praise it saying, "it's f*cking awesome". The Twins went on to follow up their break through indie gem with the accomplished and genre defining AMERICAN MARY that place horror icon KATHARINE ISABELLE in the title role of Mary Mason, a medical student who gets drawn into the world of body modification and underground surgeries. "F*cking amazing. Extraordinary. A really superb picture. Katharine Isabelle is awesome", hailed horror legend Clive Barker (HELLRAISER). The Soska Sisters have gone on to be very outspoken about equal rights across the board including but not limited to the LGBTQ community. They're actively involved in promoting blood donation and create a new PSA for it every February in celebration of Women In Horror Month, on which board they serve. And they are only just getting started. 2014 promises to be a big year with the Soska Sisters bringing a new life to SEE NO EVIL 2 where they resurrect the WWE Studios franchise with WWE Superstar Glenn "Kane" Jacobs reprising his role as Jacob Goodnight and scream queens Danielle Harris and Katharine Isabelle appearing together for the first time. As well, the Twins will be part of the all star director line up on ABCs of Death 2 in a segment that will both shock audiences and be destined for cult status along with joining the most celebrated female voices in horror of all time in the first ever all female horror director anthology, XX, alongside industry legends Mary Harron, Jennifer Chambers Lynch, Jovanka Vuckovic, and Karyn Kusama which will be a defining moment in horror history. The Writing/Directing team of Kenny Gage and Devon Downs bring you their depraved Lithuanian vision…PARLOR starring Robert Lasardo (Nip/Tuck, Death Race, Human Centipede III) as a character only known as “The Artist” who runs an Eastern European tattoo Parlor. As Gage explains, “It’s common to get tattooed while on vacation, and you are never more vulnerable than when you are being tattooed.” Downs delves deeper, “We’ve known Robert a long time and thought this would be the perfect character and story to build around him.” Lasardo continues “…it was clear to me they were serious about showcasing a fully developed character arc with which I could finally show some range. About the Director

Sam Barnett was born to a nun-turned-pagan mother and atheist father in the Christian/military stronghold that is Colorado Springs, CO. He spent five years writing fiction and producing experimental music before discovering that film and animation fulfilled all of his artistic impulses, which lead him to make films driven as much by sound as by image. His Films I AM THE EGGMAN, Reduction, Breathe, and others have been featured in festivals all over the world. A graduate of the USC production program, he now lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

About the Director

Christian Ackerman's obsession with horror started in the 80's with a late night VHS screening of Dream Warriors in his hometown of Santa Maria, California. Upon graduating from CSUN in Los Angeles, he co-directed the feature documentary "Elwood Carlisle Superstar" and served as an Associate Producer on the Lionsgate horror film "Dead and Gone." Last year, his horror-comedy short "Hell's Belles" won 15 awards including "Best Short" at Zed Fest, LA Horror Fest, and A Nightmare to Remember, "Best Horror-Comedy" at Sacramento Horror Film Festival and the "Audience Choice" award at Horrible Imaginings Film Festival. The feature length Hell's Belles script (written with his creative partner Chuck Foster) won Best Screenplay at Zed Fest and was a finalist at the New Orleans Horror Film Festival. Christian and Chuck are currently shopping that script around and writing the feature length version of "The Summoners" to explore the dark thrills of self-inflicted teenage possession.

About the Director

John Fitzpatrick is an award winning independent film director and professional editor. He holds bachelors degrees in Media Arts and English Literature. He began his filmmaking career at a young age; his first festival film was a documentary short that ultimately garnered a $20,000 research grant for his high school’s Marine Chemistry department. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, John has edited numerous TV shows, music videos and promotional material for various studios and networks such as Warner Brothers, NBC, TBS, Bravo, MTV and DC Comics. He has served as supervising editor on three cable shows: 10 Items or Less (TBS), Unbeatable Banzuke (G4), and The Dub Magazine Project (MTV2). The latter ranked highest in MTV2 history.

John has directed over 20 shorts with numerous accolades and festival screenings and an award winning independent feature, “Mercy”. His twelve episode web series, “Phantom Rabbit Hitman” premiered at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and is partnered with YouTube. Recently, his micro budget, drama short “Just One” screened at festivals across the country. In addition to “Skypemare”, John has two other exciting shorts slated for release in 2014: the Hitchcockian thriller “Pendulum” and the film noir “Reflex”.

California native Hank Friedmann is an accomplished director of music videos, and editor of commercials and the television show Comedy Bang! Bang!. An alumnus of UCLA, Friedmann received a degree in Russian Studies, melding an international sensibility into his work. Collaborating with Annapurna Pictures, Funny or Die, Interscope, Microsoft, Universal, Ford, History Channel, American Idol, and IFC, Friedmann has developed a range of skills that give him a unique perspective into the storytelling process. His passion for practical effects and a hand-made aesthetic give Friedmann’s work a quality that stands out. With Black Sugar, Friedmann combines an indie, handheld style with the monstrous elements of supernatural horror, creating a world that is uniquely terrifying.
