Jonathan Martin is a multi-award winning filmmaker, festival director, and entrepreneur. After graduating from Utah Valley University with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship, he chose to begin a career in film. Soon he directed the film he is probably best known for, "An Evening with My Comatose Mother," which until recently was the most awarded horror short film of all-time with 76 festival and industry awards and over 100 festival selections. Director Martyn Pick is recognised for his distinctive fusion of live-action and animation, and the fluid, painterly style of his film-making. Martyn studied film and fine art at St. Martins School of Art and the crossover of painting and cinema has driven his work ever since. Since then, he has moved on from pure hand animation, to using the skills of storyboarding, composition and art direction to direct the different media of CGI and live action. He has also expanded from short form to feature films that incorporate these eclectic techniques. Javi Salvago is an 80's child who grew up watching horror movies, which explains his love for monsters and everything that is over the top. After 10 years of working on several television shows and music videos in Spain as a director, writer, editor, cinematographer and visual effects artist, Javi was awarded with a full scholarship to obtain his second Masters Degree in Filmmaking in Los Angeles. After completing the program he decided to remain in Los Angeles in order to accomplish his childhood dream of making horror films in Hollywood.
Hasan Can Dagli was born on 1987, in Istanbul, Turkey. While studying political science in university he developed passion into films. Later he graduated with an MPS degree in Directing from School of Visual Arts, New York, USA (2010), after he went back to Istanbul and completed a MA in Cinema Studies at the Marmara University, Istanbul (2012). Black Ring was his sixth short film. It is produced and shot in Istanbul, Turkey by the beginning of 2016. The main idea was to analyze the relation between human and matter, how people can turn into matter was the main start point and the idea led the script into a slow pace thrilling picture.
JAMIE DEWOLF is a writer, performer, film director, and circus ringmaster from Oakland, CA. He's a National Slam Champion, NPR's "Performer of the Year" and the creator of the "Tourettes Without Regrets" series, which Huffington Post called "the best underground performance art show in America". A filmmaker since his teens, DeWolf wrote, directed and starred in his first feature film Smoked, a “fast paced, smart, witty dark comedy crime caper” about a botched Cannabis Club robbery in Oakland. The film is described as “Mean, bloody and demented. Craig is a self-made filmmaker who started out shooting nerdy sketch comedy shorts at university. In 2011 Craig self-funded, wrote and directed the multi-award winning short family drama Parrot. Two years later Craig’s short action screenplay Trunk, developed with writer/brother Derek Foster, received the Australian Writer’s Guild Monte Miller Award – for Best Unproduced Screenplay. That same year Craig also produced the highly successful LGBT web series Love Bytes; which has accumulated over 6 million views on YouTube. Craig began work on Overtime in 2015.
