A native Swede, Simon Sandquist was born in 1973. He found his love for filmmaking at an early age and it’s a love that hasn’t wavered since. After graduating from Södra Latins Gymnasium in 1991, Simon began his film career by working as a Production Assistant on commercials and music videos with some of Sweden’s biggest directors. In 1998 Simon wrote and directed his first short “Victor” together with Joel Bergvall, which earned them an Academy Award Nomination. The two went on to direct “The Invisible” (aka, Den Osynlige) to critical acclaim, which gave them the opportunity to move across the big pond to Los Angeles. Mat studied Film and Television at Salford University in the UK, and for the past ten years has been writing, directing, shooting and editing short films both on a freelance and independent basis. 'A Father's Day', Mat's latest film, is his most ambitious to date and was made with the support of Creative England's iShorts, a short film initiative delivered as part of the BFI NET.WORK. Mat’s previous short film credits include 'Run', 'Kiss' and 'Radio Silence'. 'Kiss' was selected for a number of high profile festivals including the London Short Film Festival and the New York Independent Film Festival. Mat was awarded the accolade of Best Director for 'Kiss' at the Newport International Film Festival (International Film Festival of Wales). 'Run' has been regarded as 
Ares Ceylan (born 1989), born and raised in Basel, is active as a filmmaker and assistant director for short and feature length films. Until 2010 he studied Publication Studies and Film Science at the University of Zurich and completed an internship in film production. After completing his Bachelor‘s he was hired 2011 by the film production company Filmgerberei GmbH to work as director, assistant director an editor. Since then, he was involved in the production of various films and commercials and realised personal projects. In 2013, Ares won the Basel Film Prize and various audience awards for his short film,"Beware of Children.“
Justin Paul has been involved in media & film production for over 15 years and is a true horror enthusiast. He started his career as an audio engineer working in both post production and music. However, throughout the years he has became more intrigued with film production and it has become his true passion. Justin Paul has had the opportunity to direct and produce amazing content featuring some of the industries top musical acts, capturing them in both live and intimate settings. He has also had his work featured in Adweek.com for the top 5 best national commercials in 2014, as well as helping Guitar Center win the 2014 Content Marketing Awards for Project of the Year. His talents and vision has also helped to win MarCom & Telly awards.
Jo Lewis is a filmmaker who adores spine chillers and comedy horror. Her recent short film Whisper has screened at Grimm Fest (UK) Monster Fest (Australia), Another Hole in the Head San Francesco USA, Legless Corpse Film Festival Alabama USA, Post Mortem (Mexico) and the Midwest Horror Shorts Film Festival OK USA (nominated Best Director). She produced the dark chocolate comedy Viking, which screened at Edmonton Midnight Shorts and Dead by Dawn. She is teaming up with the Dark Queen Kate Shenton in the near future to producer her next feature Bloody Burrito. Whisper is a spine chiller with a foot firmly in the MR James camp. Madrid based filmmaker and music producer in love with arts, science fiction and horror. With his first short, La Cena, he wanted to create a unique an ominous atmosphere through his special aesthetic and the use of sound. Inspired by the masters like Carpenter, De Palma, Argento or Chicho Ibañez, he wants to create it's own original vision of fantastic.
A Chicago native and USC Film School alumni, Steve loves high concept stories that can be told in an economically feasible way. His screenplay "On Your Doorstep" was voted for inclusion on the 2013 Hit List and Blood List and sold to Treehouse Pictures in a co-financing deal with Lost City. His recent screenplay, "Twisted Avenue," made last year's Hit List and has Steve attached to direct. The project is currently being shopped alongside his short film "Monsters" which he made as a proof of concept. Steve has also worked on film and TV projects with Davis Entertainment, Imagine Entertainment, and Gran Via Productions. He is represented by APA and the Gotham Group.
BLACKBIRD is a collaboration between TIM FELLINGHAM (an Australian actor/ writer based in London, with this being his directorial debut) and CHARLOTTE STENTE NIELSEN (a Danish director based in Copenhagen, with a cand.mag in film science). Tim and Charlotte have a great eye for film aesthetics and experimental storytelling techniques, their styles are influenced by more avant-garde cinema and art-house film traditions. As directors they both hold a natural affinity towards the fiction film universe.
Director, screenwriter and producer, Pablo Guirado was born in Barcelona in 1976 and lives in Paris since 1998. Pablo graduates in film direction from La Femis in 2003. In 2009, he co-founds the company Sofoco Productions. Pablo has written and/or directed several short films, screened in international film festivals.
