Breaking his immigrant mother's heart, and in a reverse migration story, Simon moved to Hong Kong 10 years ago. Originally hailing from Atlanta, GA - Simon first started in front of the lens as a TV host for Turner Networks (The Movie Bowl) , and gradually shifted behind the camera by writing and directing sketch comedy shorts. In Hong Kong, Simon started his own production company and has served as producer and director for agency work, branded content, tv networks, and once even for a puppy. Simon does have a feature under his belt, but prefers not to talk about it...unless there is whiskey.

Emmy-nominated, award winning filmmaker and Top 200 Director on HBO's Project Greenlight. Born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Central Florida, Gonzalez showed an interest in film at an early age. Spending most of his youth making home movies with neighborhood friends, he never had any doubt about his path to storytelling in film. After graduating high school and without a way to pay for film school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Immediately following Basic Combat Training, Gonzalez was deployed to Iraq and was thrown into combat at the forefront of the war. While stationed in Baqubah, Gonzalez endured a horrific, nighttime ambush; which unfortunately resulted in the loss of his best friend. Due to his bravery and sacrifice during the attack, Gonzalez was awarded an Army Commendation Medal with Valor. Despite his loss and hardship, he grew from his experiences and began documenting his day-to-day life with video cameras sent from home. Following his return to the states, Gonzalez enrolled in the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. While there, Gonzalez developed a unique cinematic identity that caught the eye of revered Hollywood photographer, Matthew Rolston, who shortly after began mentoring him. Consequently, the mentor-ship led Gonzalez to many new opportunities in film, TV, and music. Notable projects include,"Two Way Street" for Grammy Award Winner, Kimbra (Warner Brother Records) and Novel (a period thriller short) starring James Deen (The Canyons) which led him to a Natural Born Artist award for Filmmaker of the Year. Amidst a professional shooting schedule, Gonzalez was able to shoot 22 short films and several commercials. This called the attention of Academy Award nominee (Top Gun, The Thin Red Line), Billy Weber. Weber recognized Gonzalez's cinematic artistry and capacity for storytelling and the partnership led to a collaboration with acclaimed producer Edward R. Pressman (American Psycho, The Crow). Gonzalez graduated with a B.F.A. from Art Center College of Design in August 2013 and joins other recognizable alumni such as Michael Bay, Zach Snyder, and Tarsem Singh. In 2016, Gonzalez's directorial debut ¨Railway Spine¨ a period war and crime drama examining the psychological effects of PTSD, premiered and won the prestigious Gold Eagle Award 'Best Military Film' at the San Diego International Film Festival. Although she started out her college career as a pre-med student, Julianna auditioned for the prestigious BFA acting program at UCSB during her first year of school and as luck would have it, she got in. During a performance of a play in Santa Barbara, Julianna was “discovered” by director Martin Denning. He asked her to come and audition at Paramount Studios for their first ever CD Rom game of Star Trek. She booked the role and was able to get her SAG card, work side by side with the original Star Trek cast and she made enough money to send herself to school abroad in London for a summer to study Shakespeare with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Since living in LA she has performed in countless plays, short films, TV shows and she’s also been the lead in a few award winning independent feature films (Aaah Zombies!, Nun, The Funeral Guest and Gunrunner Billy Kane). For her role of Emily in The Funeral Guest (available on Amazon) she won a best actress award from LA Indie Film Fest and she was nominated for a best actress award at Hoboken International Film Fest for her role of Sister Gracie Rose in Nun. Julianna has written and produced a couple of comedic short films but The Party is Julianna’s directorial debut. She owns Physical Artistry (a busy pilates studio in Santa Monica), she's a core member with Santa Monica Repertory Theatre company and she rescues cats...much to the dismay of her husband.
