He has worked with schools on multiple occasions, helping young people to discover the way to make a movie. Bill Whirity is a writer-director from Chicago. He earned a BA in Film/TV from Columbia College, snuck into classes in AFI but did not receive a Masters Degree... yet! ( *cough* honorary degree *cough*) He once won a boat on the Price Is Right then sold it to fund his unofficial AFI thesis film. He now resides in Los Angeles with his dog, Archer, and has yet to win another watercraft on a game show and has therefore resorted to seeking investors to fund his future films.
Mia’kate Russell has written and directed multi award-winning shorts: ‘Auditioning Fanny’ (2012); ‘Swallow’ (2013), ‘Death By Muff’ (2014), and ‘Liz Drives’ (2017). She also has over 15 years industry experience and extends her work as a head of make-up and special effects artist. Credits include: ‘’What If It Works?” (2017); ‘Pawno” (2015); ‘Crawlspace’ (2012); ‘Red Hill’ (2010); ‘Zombieworld’ (2015); ‘Scare Campaign’ (2015), and shorts such as ‘Mrs McCutcheon’ (2017), ‘Emo, the Musical’ (2013); and ‘Yardbird’ (2012).
Jonas Gramming is a Swedish director, working with both narrative fiction and animation. As Creative director at Swedish film production company Tussilago since 2007, he has also directed a wide range of projects, from international commercials to music videos.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from UQAM (Concentration: Cinema) and a degree in Cinema Direction from l'INIS (institut national de l'image et du son), Kevin T. Landry began specializing in post production before venturing into production and screenwriting, thanks to the Kino film organization. He is interested in the imaginary, the absurd, and the fine line that separate the worlds of reality and fantasy. He now has over 15 short films under his belt, films that have travelled all over the word and won numerous prizes.
Cory completed the graduate program at UCLA FILM and TV and was a Spotlight Award winner before becoming a blacklisted writer for his 2013 feature LINE OF DUTY. He is presently at The Sundance Writer’s Lab for his new feature, CITY ON FIRE, about The MOVE bombing in Philly, his hometown. Before going into film, Cory was a citizen investigator in NYC for three years, investigating complaints against the NYPD, where he closed more cases than anyone before him. Cory and Rob Belushi are currently in development with their feature script based on their short thriller, Dylan.
John William Ross grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He studied at the University of Southern California earning a degree in Cinema-Television Production, then continued his studies at the California Institute of the Arts receiving an MFA in Writing. He is a director and writer known for his unique vision in horror.
Cameron March is an Australian based director and cinematographer. With a background in short films and commercials, Cameron is active across short-form and long-form formats. Working with high profile actor Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, Lord of The Rings) saw Cameron receive a Silver Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate Awards for a short autism awareness piece for Gold Coast Health. With shorts screening both locally and abroad Cameron has seen festival success. “The Neon King” picked up Best Young Filmmaker award at the Byron Bay International Film Festival in 2016 after its premiere at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. Santiago Menghini is a director and visual effect artist residing in Montreal, QC. His short film, Intruders, was selected in multiple festivals including the 2014 TIFF., as well as being awarded with an Honorable Mention at RVCQ 2014 and a Best Directing award at SPASM 2015. His film Voyagers received an special mention at the 44e Festival du nouveau cinéma and was officially selected for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. His latest film, Milk, is a due to be complete early 2018.
Mia Sorensen started her career at The Daily Show and since then she has directed, edited, and produced commercials for clients such as Sony, Mercedes, Lionsgate, Disney, and Nickelodeon. In documentary, she was a member of President Obama's digital team and worked on series such as Years of Living Dangerously (Showtime), Death Row Stories (CNN), Weediquette (Vice), and New Jim Crow (Aspireist/USA). Recently, she was in the Amazon documenting the Mebêngôkre people for a short film about deforestation narrated by Alec Baldwin and Dr. Jane Goodall.
